Balancing is a discipline of the circus arts that consists of working on the postural balance of the body.
Balance is an essential skill for all circus acrobats – as well in dance, gymnastics, and some sports – that can be developed and practiced on various apparatuses, with or without props.
The practice of balance in circus is divided into several families:
