The trapeze bar is an aerial apparatus used for aerial acrobatic disciplines.

It’s been practiced in the circus since the beginning of the 19th century. Static or swinging, the trapeze consists of a bar hung by ropes from a support.

At great height, and under the fascinated eyes of the spectators, acrobat and aerialist performs on the trapeze swing various figures and sequences of movements borrowed from gymnastics and dance.
