🎓 How to use your fire contact staff

• Practice cold first to safely learn the basic movements.
• Hold the staff horizontally before lighting and check the grip and wick condition.
• Dip only two-thirds of the wicks to prevent fuel dripping and ensure a clean burn.
• Use continuous movement to build momentum and support smooth contact rolls.
• Keep your posture relaxed and let the staff’s natural inertia guide transitions.
• Start with simple techniques such as halo rolls, back rolls and chest rolls.
• Progress gradually to advanced sequences once the fundamentals are solid.
• Never place burning wicks on the ground to protect the Kevlar and extend lifespan.
• Always practice in a safe space, ideally with a fire safety assistant.
